I always thought that the original three films were the middle three of nine so that now we have had the first six. Am I totally wrong or did Lucas change his mind somewhere?

Me too! I thought his original plan was to make 9. Whenever I mention this to most people though they have no idea about this. Thank god I wasn't dreaming. Or at least if I was someone else had the same dream.

George Lucas did say that, but he seems to have changed his mind, saying that the series is effectively all about the fall and then the redemption of Anakin/Vader.

On that note, if you actually want some decent writing on Darth Vader, check this out http://darthside.blogspot.com/ Alternately funny and touching, it's about a million times better than anything George Lucas ever wrote. I'm not even a Star Wars geek and I have been enthralled.

I watched my first Star Wars film at a packed cinema in Taunton, Somerset, in 1977. I was, I believe, 6 years old. I hated it then, and was bored to tears. I haven't watched another Star Wars film since then, and the Revenge of the Sith will not be any different.

Am I the ONLY person in the world NEVER to have watched ANY of the Star Wars films?

Yes.

No. I haven't either.

I watched the first film then rushed out and bought the first 10 issues of the 1977 Star Wars comic for 10p each and carefully packed them away, with their free gifts, into plastic folders. I still have them today, in 'as new' condition. See, I was a value Mr BW before I knew BW

BW is not a fan of media, though, as we know.

Some would say this has saved her from dreaded media anxiety. What shall I see at the cinema this weekend? What shall I read next? Which show should I tape, they clash!!
etc.

I shall be watching Sith this Saturday, with Dave - he will be bored by it, and I will defend it, knowing full well that it isn't a patch on the first 3 films. I do hope, though, that it is better than all previous 5 and George Lucas wins a raft-load of Oscars next year.
