Well that's a bit of a let down |
Looking forward to seeing the North/ East London bits from the A10,11,12,and 13... |
River Crane has some nice bits too. I was told that's where they filmed some bits of the African Queen. I have also been told the river was actually a completely made up set in Isleworth studios. Not sure which is true. |
Are you going to drink Special Brew and use a divining rod, too? |
I'll have you know there's a cunning plan to transmogrify the A6 start with a series of water inspired features. I can't believe you dissed the Arndale - it's an urban legend albeit much spoiled by the removal of it's classic fibreglass flamingo pyramid. |
I used to live in Bedford, so I've frequented Luton's Arndale Centre on several occasions. Trust me, I feel quite justified in dissing it. In fact, I think I let the place off lightly. |
I just spent a very pleasant time doing the A7, enjoyed it a ton more than I thought I would - give me a few days to find somewhere where I can edit & upload photos hassle free; and I think I'll give the A1 a shot next Saturday, if it's a nice day. (Wonderful idea DG; I think everyone should go and do the first mile of an A road.) |
*whispers to chz* DG is one of only 3 people I know who can't make divining rods work... |
"much spoiled by the removal of it's classic fibreglass flamingo pyramid." Damn, I really *miss* those flamingos. They were about the only good thing about the Arndale Centre. |
You can see thse flamingos here, if you're really missing them. |
