I remember watching that year (ironically of course!) with friends in my last year at Uni in someones little halls of residence room on a small B&W portable.

Ooh, I *loved* this song. I was at the age when we watched Eurovision quite seriously (not like now, ahem). It was so exciting that it was being held in the UK cos Bucks Fizz had won the year before.
Of course, Germany should have won a second time with "Vadda Hadda Dudda Da".
