I can still hear Tom Browne in my mind counting down these hits on Radio 1, even to this day. Oh the memories!

This brings back fantastic memories! Thank you DG. I remember me and my mum going out to buy a vinyl album called "The Best Disco Album in the World" - which featured some of the the artists and songs you mentioned. And my Mum has still got it!

And yes, I definitely know all the words to these too

marvelous. saturday night, after wurzel gummidge, down the leisure centre for their roller disco. speed skating to 'knock on wood' and 'one way ticket'.
*sighs and remembers how sore an elbow burn (from falling over)can be*

Sorry DG, but I never learnt to play Parisienne Walkways, despite the 70's being the decade that the geetar and I started our long road to pleasure.

I can give it a go tonight if you want.

Pedant's corner note to my Cornish Pirate pal Ian: Tom had ceased doing the charts more than a year earlier, so it was Simon Bates who'd counted down these!
The Arrow played the original all English Sunday Girl last week, instead of the dreadful half English half French version Radio 2 always plays these days.

OOPS...it's my age!
